Fitness Matters

The state-of-the-art facility was renovated in mid-2024 to become one of the best in the NAIA! Branded free weights and racks, new flooring, cardio equipment and more were all a part of the 2024 work. KWU’s head strength and conditioning coach supervises the area and works with individuals from not only athletics, but other areas on campus, to help improve overall campus health. Faculty and staff are welcome to use the space, as are students not affiliated with an athletic team.

About Everett Morgan

The Strength Training Center is named after the late Everett Morgan, a 1937 graduate of Kansas Wesleyan University, who was inducted into the university’s Athletic Hall of Fame for his achievements in football. During his time on the varsity team, the Coyotes won three straight KCAC titles. After his senior year in 1936, he was named honorable mention Little All-American, first-team All-KCAC and first-team All-Kansas.
